  • Here it is…! The poster for our Autumn production, The Vicar of Dibley, which we will be performing on the Swan Studio main stage 14th – 18th October 2014!

Life in the sleepy Oxfordshire village of Dibley is turned upside down when the ancient Rev Pootle dies and the diocese sends a chocolate-loving female vicar, Geraldine Granger, as his replacement. The arrival of ‘the babe with a bob cut and a magnificent bosom’, who has a decidedly irreverent attitude to religion, is met by a mixture of wonder, shock and horror from the eccentric characters that make up the parish council.

Relive Geraldine’s arrival and her attempts to improve the village and community life. Meet again the many oddball inhabitants of the quiet village of Dibley, including the pompous David Horton and his son Hugo, the dippy verger Alice Tinker, foul-mouthed Owen, pioneering cook Letitia, the world’s most boring man, Frank, and, of course, “No, no, no, yes”, Jim.

The Vicar of Dibley will be adapted from Richard Curtis and Paul Mayhew-Archer’s hugely popular TV sitcom, which ran from 1994 to 2007.  It is performed with kind permission of Tiger Aspect Productions, the writers’ royalties from this production will go to support Comic Relief, a charity which supports projects in the UK and abroad to combat poverty.
